During the counting period which started at 6 p.m., Friday, May 27 and ended at 11:59 p.m., Monday, May 30, eleven people died in traffic crashes in Missouri according to data released by the Highway Patrol on Tuesday. Troopers worked nine of those deaths. Four happened in the Troop C area, two fatalities in Troop D and one each in Troop A, Troop E and Troop I. The Au4rora/Marionville and Florissant Police Departments also investigated one traffic fatality in each of their jurisdictions. A total of 304 traffic crashes were reported during the counting period and a total of 19 boating crashes were reported on state waterways however no boating crash fatalities were reported. There was one drowning in Missouri over the holiday weekend.
