Three Lewis and Clark Conference schools sit in the top four after round one of the Class 1 Boys Golf State Championship, while South Shelby is currently fifth in the Class 2 Championship. Marceline is currently second in Class 1 after posting a team score of 346 Monday. Will Heller and Braden Lichtenberg each shot 83 to tie for ninth. Westran shot 353 as a team and is currently in third place. Salisbury rounded out the top four with a score of 361. Elliot Hayward of Salisbury tied with Joseph Devoy of Columbia Independent for the best individual score of the day at 78. In Class 2, South Shelby is fifth after scoring 372. South Shelby trails fourth place St. Michael the Archangel Catholic by two. Play will continue later this morning.
