Boys state Golf teams qualified for state

Three Lewis and Clark teams qualified for boys state golf with their district performances at Heritage Hills in Moberly yesterday. Marceline captured the Class 1, District 2 championship with a 332. Westran placed second at 342. Salisbury also earned a state berth because four Panthers qualified in individual competition. Westran senior Logan Bain claimed low medalist with a 75. Marceline’s Jacob Stallo and Lance O’Dell tied for third. Braden Lichtenberg finished fifth for the Tigers and Will Heller eighth. Westran reached its sixth straight state tournament. The state tournament will be held in Springfield next week.
