Mizzou Softball finished off the sweep of No. 12 Kentucky Monday, winning 9-1. The sweep is the Tigers second in conference play this season. Mizzou also swept South Carolina earlier this month. MU is now 28-17 on the season and one game in back of the .500 mark in SEC play. Kim Wert, Brooke Wilmes, and Kendyll Bailey provided the offense for Missouri as each hit home runs. Wert’s dinger was a grand slam, her second of the weekend. Wert hit four home runs over the three game series. The Tigers next play St. Louis this Wednesday at Mizzou Softball Stadium. First pitch is set for 4:00 p.m.
