Macon police reports multiple vehicle break ins attempt and a stolen vehicle

Police in Macon, Mo., are reporting a stolen vehicle and reports of multiple vehicle break-ins Sunday night. The stolen vehicle is a white 2007 Hyundai Tiburon with Missouri license RD9L7T. “Last night’s crime incidents appear to have happened in a concentrated area of our city,” said Macon Police Chief Adam Dawdy. Authorities remind citizens to not leave valuables inside your vehicle when unattended, especially purses, wallets, firearms, computers and other items. Make sure your vehicle is locked and the keys remain with you. If you have recently had your vehicle entered or items taken, whether anything is missing or not, you are asked to report it to the Macon Police Department at 660-385-2195 or the 24-hour anonymous tip line at 660-395-1111.
