Shoal Creek Bridge on Route C south of Utica is closed

The Shoal Creek Bridge on Route C, South of Utica, is closed due to unrepairable deterioration.  The Missouri Department of Transportation says that despite repeated repair efforts, a recent inspection found the bridge has deteriorated beyond repair and they have closed the bridge until it can be replaced. A project to replace the 89-year-old Shoal Creek Bridge has been in the works for some time and is currently in the design and right-of-way acquisition phase.  Bids will be let later in the year with construction expected to begin in February of 2023.
