Troopers say a Laplata man was seriously injured in a single vehicle crash in Macon County Wednesday afternoon. 50 year old Michael S. Gunnels was westbound in a field on private property, 1 mile north of South Gifford shortly after 4 pm. The report indicated Gunnels was on a Can AM UTV, made a turn and the vehicle overturned. The driver was taken by private auto to Samaritan Hospital in Macon for treatment.
