Harrisburg, Westran, and Slater all advanced to the boys Class 2 district semifinals with victories at New Franklin Monday night. Harrisburg topped Fayette 71-57 in the two-seven game. The Bulldogs led 33-27 at half, then outscored the Falcons 23-15 in the third. 20-7 Harrisburg faces Westran in the semifinals Wednesday. Westran beat Glasgow 67-42. The Hornets trailed 23-19, then ended the first half on a 9-0 run. Chris Sander’s squad extended the run to 29-6 through three quarters. Westran sits 24-3 ahead of Wednesday’s matchup with Harrisburg. The fifth-seeded Slater Wildcats defeated the fourth-seeded New Franklin Bulldogs 62-48. Slaterr will play the top-seeded Salisbury Panthers on Wednesday.
