A Macon man faces more than half a dozen charges after police say he left residents of the assisted living center where he worked unattended for two hours. KTVO and KTVO dot com reports Bryan D. McBride, 24, of Macon, Mo., was charged last week with seven counts of third-degree elder abuse stemming from an incident that investigators say happend on July 20, 2021, at Bristol Manor Assisted Living Center in Macon. The charges are misdemeanors. According to court documents, the daughter of a Bristol Manor resident called Macon police after her mother reported that McBride had left all seven residents of the center unattended. He reportedly told one of the residents he was going to the hospital due to a back injury. Police checked with the hospital, and McBride had not been treated there on that day. McBride returned to the assisted living center two hours later. He no longer works at Bristol Manor. McBride was issued a criminal summons last week and is scheduled to appear before a judge on Feb. 24, for arraignment.
