Area Law Enforcement agencies continue to investigate reports involving thefts from vehicles in North Central Missouri as well as several stolen vehicle reports. To date, all the thefts are believed to have been from unlocked vehicles and the stolen vehicles were also unlocked with the keys in the vehicle. The most recent thefts occurred in Adair and Macon County over the weekend. The Moberly Police Department urges all citizens to contact law enforcement immediately if they have suspicious activity around your home or neighborhood. Do not confront the person(s), obtain a description of the person(s), their clothing, vehicle and where you last saw the subject(s) and if possible what direction there were last seen going and then notify your local law enforcement agency.
