Missouri Attorney General reached a resolution in the Sunshine lawsuit against Moberly School Dist.

The Missouri Attorney General’s Office has reached a resolution in the Sunshine lawsuit against the Moberly School District. Attorney General Eric Schmitt filed a lawsuit against the school district in November 2021 when it reportedly requested thousands of dollars in exchange for records related to the Independent Education Plan meetings. The resolution says the school district must revise its policies to allow parents to record their children’s IEP meetings, implement a Sunshine Law records request tracking system and attend training administered by the Attorney General’s office.
