Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday

Just a reminder that today is Martin Luther King, Jr. day across the nation. That means most government offices, banks, schools and more will be closed today in recognition. In 1983, President Ronald Reagan signed into law a bill creating Martin Luther King Jr. Day, a federal holiday honoring the legacy of the slain civil rights leader. Martin Luther King Jr. Day was first celebrated in 1986 and in all 50 states in 2000.
